Simon & Rachel checked out several venues for their wedding, but as a lot of our couples discover once you have visited Middleton Lodge you know you have discovered the perfect place for your big day. This charming private country mansion in North Yorkshire is set in 250 acres of private parkland, it was built in 1780 by architect John Carr of York. For over 30 years this impressive Georgian mansion has been home to the Allison family who have dedicated themselves to restoring the Estate to its former glory.
Middleton Lodge have a simple ethos; whatever the reason or for however long you are staying, their aim is to make their home your home from the moment you arrive, and that is exactly how it feels as soon as you walk through the door. Their Events Organiser, Anna Russell and her team are on hand all day to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Simon & Rachel both started their wedding day at The Lodge but in separate wings, Rachel and her bridesmaids were in The Bridal Suite, where Rachel’s friend, Make-up Artist and Hairstylist, Kate Pymm helped them with their preparations. While Rachel’s friend Charlotte who designed her beautiful dress cam along especially to assist her into her wedding gown.
Once ready they were driven by Prestige Cars to their local church at Piercebridge for their marriage ceremony performed by the Rev John Dobson, before returning to Middleton Lodge for their drinks reception and Wedding Breakfast. One of the highlights of the day was the surprise (for Simon) arrival of the “Singing Waiters” who had the whole audience full attention and left to raucous applause.
Simon & Rachel along with their family and friends partied and danced the night away.
