Scott & Victoria’s – Middleton Lodge, North Yorkshire – Wedding Photography
Last time we photographed Scott & Victoria was for their pre wedding shoot on Saltburn Beach and although we had a great time and loved their images – Saltburn Pre Wedding Shoot. We were really pleased to see that the forecast for their Wedding Day at Middleton Lodge looked much more clement. When I arrived at the venue there was a little debate over whether the wind might mean it was a little too chilly for an outdoor ceremony, Alex from the Lodge agreed that we would hold off to last minute before making a final decision. (Outside Ceremonies always seem quite special and a little bit of a luxury in Britain!)
Victoria had started her celebrations at The Coach House where her family and bridesmaids had got together for a wedding eve meal and a few glasses of something bubbly. Victoria, Mum and Bridesmaids started their preparations for the big day in Yan and Tan, two of the Coach Houses beautiful new bedrooms, where Richard from Be Premiere had arrived early to style the girls hair and Emma from Make up by Jo was expertly transforming them for the day. Alex and her team were constantly checking if anyone needed anything and preparing for the outdoor ceremony as well as the marquee. Alex even assisted in last minute preps helping Victoria on with her shoes.
Victoria and Scott’s colour theme was Navy bridesmaids dresses and suits along complimented with yellow flowers, predominately sunflower. Elm Ridge Darlington supplied the beautiful bouquets, buttonholes and floral displays, while the Cake which continued the sunflower theme was provided by Marielle’s Cake Boutique.
Stan met up with the guys as they were chilling, for some reason the guys are always so much easier to get ready and the lure of the snooker table and the bar always seems to speed things along. They still had plenty of time to greet guests on arrival and enjoy the early afternoon sunshine.
The ceremony was short, but very typically Scott and Victoria with some light hearted banter. Followed immediately by the drinks reception and canapes on the lawns of Middleton Lodge. The speeches were entertaining with a little party piece thrown in by Scott, just to surprise everyone including Victoria. Guests retreated to the house or their rooms to relax before the evening festivities were kicked off and led by the very talented Misfits.
