Star attraction Pippin the Ring Bearer at Middleton Lodge Wedding.
“I’ve just been looking through our amazing wedding photos again and just wanted to say it always puts me in a very happy place. We have so many favourites. It’s going to be a tough job choosing” -Lisa
This was one of the first details that David and Lisa told us about their wedding, so we instantly knew that Pippin was a very important part of their life. Once we had met the adorable Pippin we realised why, if it had been for how stunning Lisa looked and how….err……amusing David was Pippin could have nearly stolen the show.
Just as much as we fell in love with Pippin, David and Lisa fell in love with Middleton Lodge, all the had to do was choose a date. the fourth of May seemed like a good option (nothing to do with the fact that David is a huge Star Wars fan!) despite the fact that is was only 3 months away. Lisa & David soon had a great selection of suppliers lined up for their day and everything seemed to fall into place.
Both Lisa and David came up with really original wedding gifts. Lisa gave David a beautiful guitar and despite the impression David gives on the images in the blog he could only play one chord at the imd of the wedding. However he is really looking forward to improving his skills. For Davids gift to Lisa he commissioned local Tour de Yorkshire artist Lucy Pittaway to paint a picture that encompassed Lisa and David’s life and the very things that they hold dear.
Pippin was impeccably behaved as expected, the only mishap was she did drop the rings slightly before she was supposed to release them, but everyone found it highly amusing and definitely forgave her.
We were really lucky with the weather. We definitely thought that 4th May was the start of Summer! All the guests enjoyed the canapés and welcome drinks on the lawn, before retiring to the cool of this beautiful old Georgian Mansion for the speeches and wedding breakfast, while Pippin got some well deserved rest
