Here is a fabulous taster trail produced by Craig of Unveiled to set the scene of our adventure in Paris:
Most photographers if they were given the opportunity to choose a location for a Magazine Photo Shoot, would definitely have Paris in their top ten. We were very fortunate to have photographed clients Becky and Ian’s pre wedding shoot in Paris a couple of years earlier, so when Craig asked us would we like to do an Unveiled Magazine Photo Shoot in Paris, I think he already knew the answer would be a resounding, “Yes when are we going”
The idea was only the beginning, trying to coordinate a team of ten busy people is no easy feat. We planned to travel be Train to Kings Cross followed by our first adventure on the Eurostar, meaning the trip would take two days, so it was really important that we had a team that would gel together. The great thing about the final group was that we all have connections in the industry, even if that wasn’t our role on the trip so we already had lots in common. So…. who where part of the amazing team, here is the list and also where you may know them from:
Make- up Artist – Jo Leversuch of Make up by Jo Hair Stylist –
James Reid of Hair by James
Paula Whittaker of Poppy Bridal (Bridal Gown specialist & Jenny Packham stockist)
Selena Blain from Cocoon Health and Beauty (Model)
Danny Richmond of Tic Watches (Model)
Anna Miller from Middleton Lodge (Model)
Craig & Victoria of Unveiled Magazine
Stan Seaton and Jane Miller from Stan Seaton Photography Once decided we all agreed on a date that could fit into our already busy schedules, the beginning of December sounded good, we were having a mild Autumn/Winter so it shouldn’t be too cold…… Famous last words!!! Logistically as we needed to take Make up, a quantity of dresses and camera gear, it was easier to catch the train from Darlington then the Eurostar from St Pancras directly into the centre of Paris. … or so we thought. That was until one male model slept in and missed the train, leaving us certain that he would miss the connection at Kings Cross/ St Pancras, Craig and Stan were trying to decide if they would need to step in!! But in true super hero style, just as we were about to leave St Pancras Danny stepped onto the train and we were all able to breathe a sigh of relief.
Once we arrived in Paris, we ventured out to check out locations and all agreed that a trip up the Eiffel tour was a must, the views were amazing! To continue getting us into the Paris mood we included a trip to The Moulin Rouge another experience not to be missed, but like all true professionals we were tucked up in our beds by 1pm, ready for a 5.30am start…… Unveiled is out this weekend, so get your copy to view some amazing images from the Unveiled Photo Shoot in Paris or look out for our next blog post coming soon….
