We first photographed Simon & Susan over in the lakes on Easter Saturday, none of us had quite appreciated that as the sun was shining, nearly everyone in England was heading fro the Lake District. When we eventually manage to meet up we had a really fun afternoon with these two, who never stopped laughing, usually at each other! We knew that the Rockliffe Hall Wedding day was going to be just as much fun.
The day was perfect, warm and sunny, but not too bright.
Susan’s preparations were all at Rockliffe Hall, her hair and all the bridesmaid’s hair was expertly styled by Lesley Ann from LA Hair and her lovely makeup was Victoria from Rockliffe Hall’s Spa‘s Treatment Manager, and her beautiful Bridal Gown was from designer Amanda Wyatt supplied by Susan’s Bridal Sunderland. Adam Prest arrived with his usual flourish to present Susan and the girls with their bouquets, Adam also decorated the Orangery for the ceremony and arranged individual arrangements for every table in the Wedding Breakfast. The wedding cake was of course from Marks and Spencer as Simon is a manager at one of their stores. Simon’s suit was bespoke and especially made for the occasion.
As you will see from the images their family and friends really enjoyed relaxing on the terraces in the grounds of Rockliffe Hall., before being escorted to The Rockliffe Hall Suite for the Wedding Breakfast.
The first dance was “It must be love” by Madness and the music for the evening was provided by The Paul James Band.
