Mark and Emma choose, St Philip & St James Church Witton le Wear for their Ceremony as Emma had family connections followed by their ceremony at five star north east wedding venue and spa and golf resort Rockliffe Hall.
Emma began her preparations at Rockliffe with the help of her four beautiful bridesmaids Steph, Lynne, Sophie and Sophie. Emma’s hair and all her bridesmaids was expertly styled by Lesley Ann of LA Hair and her Make up Artist was Rocklffe Hall’s lovely Victoria Lees. Her amazing dress was a Pronovias design from Mia Sposa of Newcastle and the gorgeous bouquets the flowers in the church and also later in The Orangerie at Rockliffe Hall were all from Flowers by Nattrass of Duke Street Darlington. We first met Emma a few years back when we photographed her family before she left for a year in Australia, so it has been lovely getting to know Mark and being part of their big day.
Stan met up with the guys at Marks family home where they were just finishing getting ready and cracking open the champagne, before they all set off on the 30 minute journey to Witton le Wear.
As Emma left Rockliffe, to be transported to the church by Classic Cars it was particularly windy and her and her bridesmaids certainly had to hang on to her veil on arrival at the church.
Emma entered the church to her brother Patrick playing the trumpet voluntary, before being walked down the aisle by a very emotional Dad, Steve. After a lovely ceremony the guests braved the windy weather to greet the bride and groom leaving the church and then set off to north east wedding venue, Rockliffe Hall. On arrival they were greeted by Master of Ceremonies, Bernard and the Rockliffe Hall team. The guests enjoyed canapes and welcome drinks while a friend of the couple, David, played the piano, creating a very chilled atmosphere.
Emma & Mark had opted to have their wedding breakfast in the Orangerie which was lovely and airy. The speeches include a Bob Dylan song performed by a duo who were friends of Steve’s dedicated to Emma and tissues were needed all round. The couple then set of the evening festivities with their first dance to Damian Rice’s, Blowers Daughter.
