To any Wedding Photographer Durham City is a great place to shoot, so it was lovely to meet up with Stuart and Lorena for their pre wedding shoot near to the Cathedral. Stuart currently lives and works in Shenzhen close to the China and Hong Kong border, while Lorena who is currently studying for her Masters Degree travels over the border to Hong Kong most days. Hence the phoot shoot was arranged in amongst lots of wedding planning in the short vacation back to the United Kingdom.
We started the session ambling through the cobbled streets of Durham close to Durham Cathedral, before heading down to the river bank. The sun peeping through was a welcome relief as it was quite a chilly day and it also provided us with lots of lovely backlight softened by the trees. Once we had crossed over Prebends Bridge and walked up the opposite bank we got a great view of the Cathedral through the trees. We carried on walking up the hill to meet Debbie, Stuart’s Mum who works at Durham School, once there we climbed a little further up the hill to get a great view across the roof tops of Durham City.
Tomorrow Stuart and Lorena are getting married at Middleton Lodge with all their friends and family around them, many have flown in from around the world including Lorena’s family who are travelling all the way from Columbia. We hope they all have an amazing time.
